gozerTo those of you on my flists who love zombie movies, or really just action movies in general, may I suggest you go over to Hulu and check out Community's most recent episode, "Modern Warfare"?
It's a pitch-perfect and loving send up of every damned action movie ever made. Jeff goes for a nap in his car and wakes up to a terrifying post-apocalyptic landscape; a deserted campus covered in blowing papers and dots of brightly-colored paint. The school's after-school paintball game has gotten out of hand because the dean proposed a prize of Priority Registration for the winner, and the last one standing gets to pick and choose his or her classes before every other student next semester! I counted references to 28 Days, Rambo, The Warriors, Kill Bill, Predator, the Die Hard movies... every visual cliche and over-the-top line of dialogue you can imagine is exploited for laughs.
I don't want to say more because you should watch it unspoiled.
