Oh, I did that! It blew away my FAT file, which I now means "file allocation table." It did the same start-reboot cycle. I almost lost everything. What saved my files was that for some reason my Docs folder was in my Programs folder, and that got saved.

Well, no. What--or rather who--saved my files was Bruce, my computer guy. But he made no promises going in.
